How to portforward

Before you begin
you will need the following
1. Your ip address
2. static ip
3. admin router username and password

Getting your ip address
Getting your ip address is easy, all you have to do is go into command prompt and type in ipconfig

alright, all we need to get is the default gateway, once you have that go into internet explorer and put it into your address bar
once you do that you will need to put in your admin username and password

Forwarding your ports
now once you are in your router, just find where to forward your ports into, portforward.com can help you with that. once you found the area to forward your ports go into it. mine is applications and gaming
now, there are two different types of port forwarding, you can forward one port at a time or multiple, ill show you both.

Single port forwarding
alright, so lets say you want to forward only 1 port, it is really simple. you will be asked for a name, the port, the type of port (udp, tcp, both) and your ip address. this is where your static ip comes in. my static ip ends in 100 so at the end of 192.168.1 i will put 100.
the name can be anything you wish, the port can be anything also, obviously if you need a certain port you should use that one.

Multiple port forwarding
now, onto multiple ports, this can be used for game servers, for example if you play counter strike source and want to run a dedicated server then this could be usefull.
again the name can be anything you want, but for the ports, in the first box also called start, you should put your starting port, ex.1
for your second box, called end, you should put the ending port ex.3
this will open all port from 1-3
again set it to udp or tcp or even both depending on what you need. and put in your static ip.
